- Moose Lake is a 1670 acre, 9 mile long, recreational lake fed by the Chippewa, Little and Big Moose Rivers with approximately 35 miles of beautiful natural shoreline and countless islands.
- Like to Boat or Float? - We know you will enjoy whatever your choice!! Kayaking, Canoeing, water skiing or tubing, anchoring to float or swim or just puttering to enjoy the views!
- Like to Fish? - Try landing the elusive Musky as Moose Lake is a Class-A Musky lake -or- fish off the dock or use your angling skills out on the lake for walleye, bass and pan fish. Ice fishing is great fun during the winter months.
- Snomobiling your thing? - Excellent and abundant trails including Trail Nos. 5, 21 and 3, right off the lake!
- Fall Colors!! - Our Chequamegon roads are on the Fall Color Tour.
- Cross Country Skiing – Hayward hosts THE largest cross country skiing event – The Birkie! Come and train or just ski for fun!
